Blue Moon in My Eye

A blue moon can be hard to find. In most cases it is the the third full moon in an astronomical season.

They can appear in various colors, but in the majority of instances they look like normal full moons. For the moon to actually be blue it would need the perfect atmospheric conditions such as dust or water particles. These interfere with the light. A true blue colored moon is a rarity, not all are able to see it.

How did this rare photo come about? I was in a wooden stall changing. When I looked up, I saw a hole in the wall and the moonlight was shining through. There was a blue moon in my eye and I had to capture it.
